Hongqi

Hongqi — meaning Red Flag — is China's most prestigious automotive brand, founded in 1958 to create a state limousine worthy of senior Communist Party officials. The original CA72 was hand-built in Changchun and became the official car of the Chinese government for decades. After a period of decline, Hongqi was dramatically revived after 2018 with a suite of ultra-luxury sedans and SUVs targeting China's new wealthy elite. Today Hongqi is China's answer to Rolls-Royce and Bentley.
