Rolls-Royce was co-founded in 1904 by engineer Frederick Henry Royce and businessman Charles Rolls in Manchester, England. Their partnership — celebrated in the RR badge — united Royce's engineering perfectionism with Rolls' aristocratic customer connections. The Silver Ghost of 1906 earned Rolls-Royce its enduring reputation as 'the best car in the world' after covering 15,000 miles without a mechanical failure. Today under BMW Group ownership, every Rolls-Royce is bespoke-built at the Goodwood factory in West Sussex.
